Over the last 47 years, many Annwood Shetlands have achieved great success in ridden, driven and in-hand classes, as well as being wonderful family ponies. Visitors are always welcome by prior arrangement. The Stud is less than 30 minutes from the M5 and M50 motorways, and one hour from Birmingham International Airport.

Garland won the SPSBS performance awards on two occasions and was champion native pony at the 1991 National Side Saddle Association Show.

Gilia, who still being ridden today, has wins including Perth Under Saddle and Champion Ridden at the Scottish Shetland Show.

Text Box: History The Annwood Stud was founded in 1964 by Joan and Derek O’Brien, in Sussex. It has been re-established in Herefordshire and is now being run by their daughter and grand-daughter, Mary and Lucinda Davenport. We are extremely fortunate that Joan and Derek are still involved with the Stud.
